ok well where to start..

i walked into another world on friday febuary 2nd, the most amazing school world ive ever been in.. At first i was lost! Completely lost and still am… but i really do love this new theatre studies world..

I dont get any of the jokes and i cant imagine the look on my face when there all laughing and im trying to work it out. I go home and think about some of the jokes and still to this day, i dont think ive got one.

The first week has been wow! I found out that i didnt just enter a new class i entered into a class of nutters! Mr cooper (the best theatrestudies teacher in the world) is awsome and so far im loving learning everything..

We, (well Mr Cooper) decided we’re doing 100 and i must say it was a great choice! We had a read through of the script and everyone loved it.. I find everyone so entertaining in this class.. They all make everything we do so interesting! So so far so good.. We all have our roles.. Im stage manager and in charge of props, im very excited!

So stage managing…Usually well so far in my career ive only ever been back up stage manager for lisa and bloky so this role makes me nervous. I dont know if i trust myself enough to take on this role but im glad everyone else does.

We talked about our extremely busy busy schedual and its all very excting.. Budget’s going to be the hard task of controlling i think..I dont know why i didnt do theatre last year, i guess im mental but i couldnt be more happier now that im doing it.

This new world im involved in and apart of i love and i simply cant wait for the rest of the year!

I dont think this length of my 1st blog makes the cut but i dont even know what im supposed to be writing…

So everyone in this class thanks for welcoming us newbies… Its been awsome!

  1. Coops:

A fantastic first effort on your first VineBlog Jordy. Different members of the class will have a heavier workload at different times and so will have more to write. Your comments on Stage Management are very appropriate and honest. I look forward to working with you to further develop the already good natural skills that you possess.
As far as the sorts of things to add to this Blog, that will depend on what happens in class. Some days you might want to comment on the contributions made by specific people or during a specific task….other times you might be asking more questions than anything else….other times you might want to explain some research you have done or an experience you have had in a rehearsal or in preparing some work.
When we get to monologues, your Blogs might need to ask questions of your classmates, or discuss something that is frustrating you about rehearsing.
I am really glad you are feeling in some way comfortable in the class, even if you feel overwhelmed by it. Even those of us who started off last year feel that way most of the time. I walked back into the office after the last class with my head spinning, telling Mr Maddocks that there is just too much that we need to know/prepare/understand/create!!!!!!!!!
You will be fine. Please (please, please) ask questions when you don’t understand something, even if it is just one of our jokes. Ask in class or come and see me afterwards.
    Well done!
